Hi loves,
Can you believe it has been 5 years since I started this blog? I can hardly believe it. It seems like just the other day I sat down to write my very first post. I remember I was on holiday from uni and I hadn't been home in almost two years and I was looking for something different and exciting to do. It was the same year when I came across fashion blogs. The one I remember reading all the time was College Fashion. I remember feeling so inspired to revive my love for fashion and to find an outlet for it.
I don't know if I have mentioned it before but I have loved clothes, making them and putting outfits together, hair and make-up right from when I was a child. But, somewhere along the way I let it slide as I tried to find something more conventional to do. However, I quickly realized, as I re-entered this world that I had loved so much in my early years, that when you love something so much it will stay with you through the years, never giving you a moments peace, until you decide to do something about it.
Back when I started blogging, I didn't know too much about the technicalities of blogging. I had the basics in terms of equipment but I didn't let that bring me down. I had an inherent need to channel my love for fashion into something I could call my own and share it with you and so I didn't let anything stop me.
As the years rolled by, my content has been more or less the same: outfit of the day, how to style new trends and a few personal development and lifestyle topics. My consistency has been wanting. I will blame this on a lack of inspiration. But I didn't let this bring me down. I have fought tooth and nail to be able to share with you and I am glad I didn't give up when blogging didn't come as easy for me as it did in the early days.
Marking 5 years as a blogger brings with it such a special feeling. While I am proud of myself for holding on for this long, I feel like I need to challenge myself a bit more to produce more interesting content and do something new. I hope to take you on a new adventure in the coming weeks.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart. I wouldn't be here without your encouragement and support. Cheers to another year of i2s.
Love you all. xo
