When the weather can’t decide what it should be like, it’s always safer to go overboard with your dressing and then remove the layers as the day gets warmer. Last week when the weather was bleak I was caught completely off-guard. I wasn’t expecting the temperatures to remain low throughout the day. So when on Monday the weather threatened to be a repetition of the weekend, I chose to be safe rather than sorry. I chose to wear a pair of denim trousers (this pair are my absolute favourite and I’m beginning to wonder what I’ll do when they start getting old), which I paired with an off-white sweater and a chocolate brown turtle-neck.
Outfit Details:
Jeans: Sarojini Market, India
Sweater: Gikomba Market, Nairobi (Ksh 50)
Belt: gift
Earrings and necklace: gift
Boots: Kins, Sarojini Market, India
Accessories can make or break an outfit, so I chose my brown boots, beaded necklace and African earrings. I added a belt which I fitted loosely around my hip. I’ve never worn a belt around my hips. I think that if you don’t want to draw attention to that part of your body, it’s safer to avoid wearing things that will draw the attention of an onlooker.
Happy Wednesday
