12 OUTFITS FOR CHRISTMAS: PART FIVE

Image
Hi all! For this week's 12 Outfit's for Christmas series, I thought of giving you an idea of how you can wear black and still look festive. By adding red accents in the form of a blazer or lipstick or even a hair accessory, your little black dress will turn instantly festive. If you prefer a more casual look, wear your favourite pair of denim trousers with a red print top. Red accessories will also turn this outfit from ordinary to festive. The festive season brings with it many events to which you have for which you have to dress up. This week I am featuring a dinner date with someone special and meeting your in-laws. Past posts include, outfit ideas for an office party , family lunch , December wedding , Christmas concert , travelling and Christmas shopping . 1. Dinner with a special someone When you are going out with someone special be it your best friend, boyfriend, a family member or members etc, dress to impress. This is the best time to glam up and dress the way you've always dreamed of dressing. I went with a little red dress, gold jewellery, an animal print clutch and sandals. This outfit will also work well with a white dress.  **Make sure you try your outfit before hand if it's something you've never worn before to make sure you are absolutely comfortable in it. 2. Meeting the in-laws I've not yet reached the point where I have to meet my prospective in-laws, but I imag...

If not, vote here For this week's 12 Outfits For Christmas we'll look at comfortable and easy to style outfits for travelling and running errands during the festive season. 1. Travel Outfit Just because you'll be spending almost 12 hours on the road doesn't mean that you should look frumpy. When it comes to dressing, the better you look the better you feel. A comfortable pair of trousers jeans or cotton, depending on your preferences, paired with a cute graphic t-shirt and a pull-over will keep you both warm and stylish. Add some jewellery preferably non-metallic to save you embarrassing moments at security, comfortable shoes or boots and a big enough bag to keep everything you need for the trip handy. 2. Christmas shopping It's very rare that you will walk into one shop or mall and get all your Christmas shopping done. For many of us we need to go from here to there be...

This post was meant to go up on Thursday but I've been so busy this week that I didn't have enough time to complete it on time. 1. Dressed for a December Wedding In a week's time December will be here and with it comes an endless array of weddings. Someone once said to me that when you attend a wedding try not to wear white. Only the bride should be in white and you wouldn't want to take the attention away from her on her special day.   Pink chiffon one-shoulder dress, jewelled heels, clutch, drop earrings, headband. Do you remember what Blair wore to Lily's wedding to Bart Bass? Blair Waldorf 1 , 2 2.Christmas concert Many choirs organize concerts at this time of year. If you plan on attending a few, you can grab a pair of skinny jeans tucked into boots and add a slouchy bedazzled sweater.  If skinny jeans aren't your style why not wear flared jeans, bedazzled booties, a feminine top and toughen up the look with a leather...
