DRESSED FOR COMBATING THE FLU

Image
Hi all!! I hope you are as excited as I am for Christmas which is 5 days away. I have a flu and it got worse yesterday. I reached the office and had to go back home before the end of the day.  I needed to be extra warm on this day so I wore my dusty pink pants, checked top, shrug and grey turtle neck. I accessorized with a black belt, black boots and purple handbag, embellished earrings and my watch and bracelet, which I wear everyday. I chose this look as a way to cheer myself up. I didn't want to dampen my spirits anymore than I already am. What do you wear when you aren't feeling 100%? Happy Thursday!!  xo Audrey You can also find me on: Facebook     Twitter     Pinterest     Bloglovin Shop My Closet

TUCKED IN DENIM TO CHURCH

Image
Hi all!!!  This is what I wore to Church last Sunday. I wanted a warm, comfortable look so I wore my dark blue skinny jeans, yellow checked shirt and black blazer.  I accessorized with my new embellished earrings, blue and black checked bangles, blue ring, and black handbag and boots.  I have been trying to have my nails done so over the weekend they were pink and blue. This week I've had them in nude and with a little bit of artwork. Happy Saturday xo Audrey You can also find me on: Facebook     Twitter     Pinterest     Bloglovin Shop My Closet

HOW TO: 3 WAYS TO WEAR BOOTS

Image
Hi all, I hope the weather hasn't dampened your spirits. As you might have guessed from my posts, I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to wear my clothes. And it doesn't stop with clothes. I also like to play around with my accessories. With the weather being as cold and rainy as it has been in the last week or so, I find myself reaching for these boots. So today I wanted to share with you 3 simple yet chic ways to wear a single pair of boots. 1. With a dress Wearing a cute dress with boots adds some edge to your outfit, especially if you don't want to look too cute. I wore my new green print dress with a blazer, stockings and boots to the office last week. I wanted to look chic and be warm at the same time and this look worked well for me. This look can also be worn with a skirt  preferably a knee length one that will allow the boots to stand out. 2. Tucked in Denim This is a nice smart casual look especially if your boots have a heel be it st...

DRESSED FOR SUNDAY

Image
I recently realized that since I came back from India, my wardrobe has been split into several pieces. I now have specific clothes that I go to university with, then others I wear any other time I have work to do, clothes for staying at home (mostly my jeans) and then clothes to wear on Sunday when I’m going to church. I know I’m not unique in this sense. It’s just that when you are so used to having a wide variety of clothes to choose from, when you become limited to certain clothes for certain occasions, you feel so distressed. I know I do. Then I get into a crisis. This was the case on this particular Sunday. I couldn’t decide what to wear so I picked this little black dress, blazer and colourful scarf. It was cold on Sunday morning so I added stockings and knee-high boots. This seems to have been a brass weekend; I wore my brass bracelets again and added earrings to match. DRESSED IN A SKIRT AS A TUNIC

Image
Having a limited budget means that I have to find new ways to wear my old clothes. I’d like to shop as much as the next girl but at the moment that’s not even an option. So a few weeks back I read this post on 5 differentways to wear a pencil skirt from Merrick's Art and I just thought I had to try out some of the ways. I didn’t use a pencil skirt instead I chose this midi skirt, last worn here , and wore it as a tunic. I added a maroon blazer and cobalt blue leggings. I went a little heavy on the accessories (more than I usually do), with a multi-chain necklace, chandelier earrings and brass bracelets. These bracelets are my favourite. I’m thinking of going to an Indian shop and buying a few more. I added a belt as an afterthought because I thought it would help keep the dress in place and add some shape to the tunic. Since I wanted to wear my black boots, I chose to carry a black handbag, which is also this clutch and added a black hair clip.  ...
