AUDREY'S STYLE: Combatted Denim

Image
Hello lovelies!  The weather in Nairobi has been quite cold of late. It's even more evident in the house which tends to be colder than outside. Last week I had to take my sister shopping so I opted for distressed jeans, previously worn here , (I told you they are a new favorite!), a t-shirt and striped sweater. I was feeling quite cold so I added a scarf and combat boots. Outfit Details: Jeans: from my sister Sweater: Gikomba Boots: Ngara Scarf: Gikomba Bag: India Have you tried combat or army boots? How else would you style them? Do share in the comments below, on Facebook , Instagram or Twitter . Happy Thursday and thank you for stopping by! xo Audrey

AUDREY'S STYLE: Dots and Pleats

Image
Hello lovelies! I have developed a love for trousers with pleats, pockets and unusual colors. This pair is making its debut on the blog today. I'm thinking of doing a few alterations here and there to make them perfect but I love them all the same.  I wore them to Church last Sunday and paired them with a blue and white polka dot blouse which I tucked in. As it was a bit chilly in the morning I threw on this blazer which I have completely fallen in love with. I particularly love the puff sleeves and pleats along the collar. Every time I look at it I imagine all the outfits I can wear it with. I added a black belt, slingbacks, earrings and the most amazing bracelet to complete the outfit. Outfit Details:  Trousers: Gikomba Blouse: Gift Blazer: Kawangware Heels: last worn here Earrings: a shop in Nakumatt Lifestyle Watch: Gift Bracelet: Gift  This bracelet is made from recycled cutlery. This one was a fork. I ...

AUDREY'S STYLE: Denim Surprise

Image
Hello lovelies! As much as I'm a huge fun of denim, there are some denim trends that I find difficult to embrace. Case in point, boyfriend jeans. I love them on other people but on myself I was skeptical. That was until I tried on this pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. I was in love. Add this embellished t-shirt with the cut-out back and I was the happiest girl. I completed the look with a pair of pink loafers (last worn here ) and a burgundy handbag. I wore this some time last week while running a few errands. Elly was left at home and although I suffered from a little separation anxiety, I managed to do my things without constantly calling to find out if she was OK.  Outfit Details: Jeans: acquired from my sister T-shirt: acquired from my sister Loafers: Bus-Station Handbag: Kangemi Another clothing item i'm in love with? This t-shirt! Check out the back!! I'm so excited to try out cut-outs (although they have been trending for a...

AUDREY'S STYLE: The Perfect Combination of Colour and Print

Image
Hello lovelies! Nothing cheers me up more than having some print and colour in my outfit. These floral pants, previously worn here , are just the perfect combination of colour and print. They don't scream for attention and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. On this particular day, I paired them with a pink vest and white waterfall sweater. I was headed to Church so I added a pair of heels to dress them up a bit.  After more misses than hits, I am slowly getting back my dressing mojo. It has proven to be quite difficult to dress my post-maternity body, more-so because I have very few clothes that fit well. I have been wearing a lot of skirts lately even though I am not partial to them. I would much rather wear trousers and dresses. These are slowly making a comeback in my wardrobe. After struggling to accept my new body size, I have taken to getting a few new clothes which I hope will get me through the next few months as I bounce ba...
