One of the best parts about having a stylish baby sister who isn't afraid to speak out is that she will keep you up-to-date as regards fashion trends and she will act as a checks and balances when it comes to giving you advice/voicing her opinion on your outfits. This is what my baby sister is to me: not only is she a muse but she is also one of the few people I trust to tell me when my dress is too revealing or I need to glam it up a bit. Meet Elizabeth (Lisa). She is one hell of a lady! Style-wise, I think she is one of the most daring people I know. Very rarely will she let what other people say of her or her outfit of choice deter her from doing what she wants. That's another thing I admire about her. She has such high self-esteem that at times she puts me to shame. I like that no matter what she decides to wear be it a pair of culottes, high tops, a dress or pants, she always pulls it off. She is not afraid to push boundaries and try out new things. And to top...

***I'm always looking for new style inspiration especially when I'm feeling out of it. One of my favorite local places to look is my super stylish friends. I figure that yes, I can look at celebrities and other bloggers (which I do, A LOT!), but why not look to local fashionistas who are have similar circumstances as I have? At least the places where they shop are accessible. Meet Natalie. OK, she isn't my friend as such seeing as we are related. She's my cousin. Natalie has a great sense of style. I love her daring outfits, how she isn't afraid of colour and her outlandish hair style choices. She is one of those people whose photos I see and I wonder why she doesn't have a fashion blog, hint hint, Nat.  Whether she is wearing sporty clothes or is all glammed up for a night out, this fashionista knows her personal style and is not afraid to flaunt it. Enjoy the pics.

STYLISH FIRST LADIES

Hi all! Today we Kenyans will get out fourth President. As much as there's pomp and fanfare, I'm more interested in seeing our new First Lady's style. On Sunday I read an article in the Daily Nation about First Ladies and style by Carol Odero and it got me thinking. I therefore decided to write a post about First Ladies around the globe and their style. Chinese First Lady, Peng Liyuan She has been pegged as First Lady to watch. Her style is more out there than her predecessors. Image She has been known to prefer outfits made in China. Image Cameroon First Lady, Chantal Biya As little as I know about her, I love that her style is daring. She's not the typical First Lady in understated outfits. And her hair...enough said! Image Image Image Samantha Cameron Mrs Cameron wears a lot of blue, but who's complaining? She looks fab. I love the simplicity of her outfits and the subtle prints. STYLE ICON: KATE MIDDLETON

Hi all. I hope you are having a good week. Two days  ago, the royal family announced that Kate Middleton, or rather Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is expectant. I was so excited mostly because I love her style and I can't wait to see her maternity style. I put together some of the things I admire most about her style below. Enjoy!! Simplicity is key In order to look great, you don't need to try too hard. Simple cuts when worn with the right accessories can make you look stunning. Say goodbye to those extravagant outfits and try something more simple. Red carpet glamour I've always dreamt of walking on the red carpet. But what scares me most is that the red carpet will over power my dress. But with inspiration like this I don't think you can go wrong Fascinating Fascinators I think fascinators are so classy and royal. But I believe you don't have to be royalty to wear one. I love them for very special occasions such as weddings, or derb...
