OF RED HIGH-WAIST TROUSERS AND LOAFERS

Image
Hi all! The weekend is here with us and with it comes a more casual, relaxed dress-code. Pull out your coloured denim, your fave t-shirt and a pair of comfortable loafers for a simple, comfortable, chic look.  This was my thinking when I put together this outfit. For an afternoon spent walking, I chose a chocolate brown t-shirt my pink loafers. I added a leopard print belt and chocolate brown handbag to tie in the whole outfit. Since I was going to Church first, I chose a smart-casual outfit. Outfit Details: Trousers: Garissa Lodge, Nairobi T-shirt: Sarojini Market, New Delhi Loafers: Bus Station, Nairobi Belt: Gikomba Market, Nairobi Handbag: Sarojini Market, New Delhi Earrings: Nakumatt Lifestyle, Nairobi And since it's the weekend, remember to have fun and unwind. Do something you haven't done in a long time. Anyone headed to the Mingle?? Happy Friday!!! xo Audrey For blog updates follow me on  Facebook , ...

SHEER HIGH-WAIST

Image
Hight-waisted pants, sheer embellished top, sandals, metallic clutch Hi all!  When it comes to buying pants, I'm usually very particular about the fit. I bought these navy high-waist pants at Gikomba and the only thing I was sure about was that the waist would fit. When I tried them on at home, I hated how the leg of the trousers fit, so I sat down on the sewing machine and got down to reduce the width of the legs. I spared the hip area to make these pants whose name I am unable to find.  Outfit Details: Trousers: Gikomba Market, Nairobi (part of a suit) Tan slim belt: Gikomba Market, Nairobi Sheer top: Sarojini Market, India Sandals: Sector 17 Market, Chandigarh, India Clutch, Owl Ring, Earrings: Ngara, Nairobi  I wore this outfit when the tempertatures were sweltering in Nairobi. For cooler weather or the rain, I would trade the sandals for ankle boots and add a blazer. Celeb Style Kim Kardashian in Jean Claude Jitrois l...

WHAT I WORE: RED AND LACE

Hi all!!! I hope this Monday morning is taking you well. Coloured denim has been on fashion for a long time. And although I didn’t go out of my way to buy coloured denim, I just had to buy red trousers. And to top it all off, these are high-waisted. Outfit Details: Trousers: Garissa Lodge, Nairobi Lace Top: Kawangware Market, Nairobi Coat: Kawangware Market, Nairobi Flats: Ngara, Nairobi Handbag: Bus Station, Nairobi    This is the second time I’m wearing these. I’ll post the other outfit later in the week. I wore them to church yesterday, paired with a lace top and some flats. I chose this outfit for its simplicity and ease, as I wasn’t feeling myself yesterday and just wanted something comfortable. Happy Monday!!! xo Audrey You can also find me on: Facebook     Twitter     Pinterest     Bloglovin Shop My Closet

This is my first time wearing a tie when not in school uniform!!! I literally copied this look from Jenni of Comme Coco . I opened one of my many accounts and caught a glimpse of her post and I IMMEDIATELY started putting together a similar outfit in my head to be worn to work the next day.  Yeah I'm awesome like that!!! A tie borrowed from my brother, who I suspect thinks I'm mad, paired with my blue print shirt  and my fave wide-leg, high-waisted trousers.  Outfit Details: Trousers: Sarojini Market, India Shirt; gift Blazer: from my sister Heels: gift Bag: gift Tie: from my brother Loop Earrings: gift I had worn something similar to a job interview and of course my distracted self forgot to take pics. I switched the tie for a statement necklace though. Didn't want my prospective employer to look at me in bewilderment. I'm so glad the weekend is here!!! Happy Friday:) xo Audrey You can also find me on: Facebook   ...
