Hi all!!! What a start to the day! When I saw how  much it was raining or rather pouring, I told myself that I had no choice but to dress up so that I can brighten my day.  Today being a Friday, I would have gladly reached for a pair of jeans and flats but I thought it would be a good challenge to wear something dressier.  I hope you didn't get rained on this morning. I recently realized that since I came back from India, my wardrobe has been split into several pieces. I now have specific clothes that I go to university with, then others I wear any other time I have work to do, clothes for staying at home (mostly my jeans) and then clothes to wear on Sunday when I’m going to church. I know I’m not unique in this sense. It’s just that when you are so used to having a wide variety of clothes to choose from, when you become limited to certain clothes for certain occasions, you feel so distressed. I know I do. Then I get into a crisis. This was the case on this particular Sunday. I couldn’t decide what to wear so I picked this little black dress, blazer and colourful scarf. It was cold on Sunday morning so I added stockings and knee-high boots. This seems to have been a brass weekend; I wore my brass bracelets again and added earrings to match. Pink and black combination has become a favourite of mine. I've realized I have a lot of pink in my wardrobe but I can't complain because it's one of those colours that brighten up your face and adds colour to your outfit without trying so hard. I wore this outfit for the FAB Expo 2012. I changed my outfit three times that day but each of the outfits had a purple/pink colour scheme. Do you remember this dress? I wore it here and here previously. And the blazer? I'd worn it for here for a job interview and here with jeans and a tee. To continue with the black colour scheme, I wore black boots, stockings and carried a black handbag. I chose pink earrings and a black necklace, black ring, pink, white and black bracelets and a pink flower pinned to the lapel of my blazer. This is the third time I’m wearing this Little Black Dress. The other times I wore it are here and here. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to wear a dress as a skirt for a long time now. None of my other dresses looked right every time I tried to wear a top or sweater on top of it but I think I finally got the formula right. I wore this blue sweater-top on top of the dress. The sweater was a bit long so I folded it and used a belt to secure it in place. I added a denim jacket for additional warmth. I went for a yellow belt because I wanted to add colour to my outfit. I was still cold in spite of all the layers I was wearing, so tied a scarf around my neck. Brass earrings and lots of bangles completed my accessory choices. I wore my knee length boots, with stockings and socks, it was that cold on Monday. I carried one of my fave handbags.
