WHAT I WORE: ELECTRIC BLUE WITH WHITE AND RED ACCENTS

Image
Hi all!! Today I feel more like myself than I have all week, I just had to pull out one of my new dresses and rock it along with a huge smile on my face. OK, maybe it's because I have a feeling today will end on a good note. I have my fingers crossed. I bought this dress in Gikomba market last Friday. My BFF Maureen and I decided to treat ourselves and we had a blast. I wore it to work and paired it with my off-white peep-toe heels. I added a belt to add a little shape to the dress because I realized it was a little big along the bodice.  Delicate earrings, a shambala and simple ring completed the look. Happy Thursday!! xo Audrey You can also find me on: Facebook     Twitter     Pinterest     Bloglovin Shop My Closet

DRESSED FOR A JOB INTERVIEW

Image
I had a job interview on Wednesday and I was a little confused on what to wear. I had wanted to wear a dress, seeing as I don't own a skirt suit or anything suitable to wear to a job interview, but it was so cold in the morning and I was still recovering form a bug. So I opted for formal trousers and a boyfriend blazer. I put on a striped pink blouse to add some colour to the outfit. After dressing I felt a little dull so I picked pink, white and black bracelets, and a ring which matches my earrings. I wore low-heeled shoes, because I knew I would have to walk for a long distance. I carried my most formal bag and tied a belt over my blouse to add some interest.  Outfit Details:  Trousers: India Blazer: borrowed from sis Blouse: India Belt: borrowed from sis Earrings and ring: India Bracelets: gift Handbag: gift What outfits would you recommend for a job interview? OUTFIT: Registration

Happy New Month!!! My blogging has been a little haphazard lately. I don’t have internet connection at home so I have to depend on the times I go out to update my blog. I wore this outfit on last Monday when I went to Strathmore University to register for a unit I needed to complete to get my diploma. I hadn’t been there for nearly four years and considering their strict dress code, I wasn’t too sure what was appropriate anymore. So I opted to go completely formal rather than smart casual. This is a big change from what I’m used to wearing because while studying in India nobody paid any attention to what you wore as long as you were covered. I spent the last four years wearing denim day in day out with the occasional skirt or dress. With the rather interesting weather we have in Nairobi, I get a little confused on what to wear. In India when it rained, it was cool and nice. But in Nairobi when it rains it’s so cold!!! Ah, the joys and pains of adjusting to a new environ...
