AUDREY'S STYLE: Denim Surprise

Hello lovelies!
As much as I'm a huge fun of denim, there are some denim trends that I find difficult to embrace. Case in point, boyfriend jeans. I love them on other people but on myself I was skeptical. That was until I tried on this pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. I was in love. Add this embellished t-shirt with the cut-out back and I was the happiest girl. I completed the look with a pair of pink loafers (last worn here) and a burgundy handbag.
I wore this some time last week while running a few errands. Elly was left at home and although I suffered from a little separation anxiety, I managed to do my things without constantly calling to find out if she was OK.

Another clothing item i'm in love with? This t-shirt! Check out the back!! I'm so excited to try out cut-outs (although they have been trending for a while now). I'm especially curious about cut-outs on the back!

A labour of love: Long days, bee stings and a global premiere

“Amkeni” roughly translates to “Rise Up” in Kiswahili. This is the call of Chambuko Amkeni, a community-led conservation group involved in mangrove restoration and protection. In 2025, I had the honour of working with them to document their journey on women’s leadership in coastal and marine conservation, climate change adaptation and the blue economy, for a collaboration between Mission inclusion and the BBC StoryWorks'   for the   Living Legacy Series . This was my first time working on a project of this magnitude not to mention one that would have a global audience. To say this has been one of the highlights of the last two years is an understatement. Just thinking about it, my heart swells with pride. Five Books I Want To Read in 2019

My love for reading books has always been bubbling beneath the surface and it has finally blown over. I've not always been a great reader. To make matters worse, motherhood has given me even less time for leisure activities like reading. However, I started pushing myself a bit and now I make time to read.  I find it a good use of time to read while in the matatu, when I take myself on a lunch date or when my eyes need a rest from constantly staring at a screen.  This year, I have decided to challenge myself a bit more by documenting the books I have read and loved as well as have a running list of books that I would love to read.
