OUTFIT: Colour Blocking

I haven't done an outfit post in a while but I'm going to try and make this more frequent. Today was a beautiful day. The sun came out and I felt so jovial hence the bright colours! I decided to try my hand at colour blocking and I must say I loved the outcome. 


I haven't put on this blue sweater top (yes I'm wearing a sweater on top of a sweater) this winter.  I wore it when I was back home but when I came back to India I couldn't find a way to style it because it was too cold. So today it demanded to make an appearance. This time I put on this orange cowl neck sweater on top of it and added a pair of dark blue skinny jeans.


To accessorize, I wore three different bracelets. I bought this blue bracelet two years ago and had never put it on. Today I decided to pair it with this outfit. 


I added these earrings from my sister which I  absolutely love.


I last wore this orange sweater with a skirt and I must say I didn't quite love the way the whole outfit looked so today I chose to wear it with denim trousers.


Oh I did my hair!!! I'm so happy to be able to have it out after so many months of having it in braids.

A labour of love: Long days, bee stings and a global premiere

“Amkeni” roughly translates to “Rise Up” in Kiswahili. This is the call of Chambuko Amkeni, a community-led conservation group involved in mangrove restoration and protection. In 2025, I had the honour of working with them to document their journey on women’s leadership in coastal and marine conservation, climate change adaptation and the blue economy, for a collaboration between Mission inclusion and the BBC StoryWorks'   for the   Living Legacy Series . This was my first time working on a project of this magnitude not to mention one that would have a global audience. To say this has been one of the highlights of the last two years is an understatement. Just thinking about it, my heart swells with pride. Five Books I Want To Read in 2019

My love for reading books has always been bubbling beneath the surface and it has finally blown over. I've not always been a great reader. To make matters worse, motherhood has given me even less time for leisure activities like reading. However, I started pushing myself a bit and now I make time to read.  I find it a good use of time to read while in the matatu, when I take myself on a lunch date or when my eyes need a rest from constantly staring at a screen.  This year, I have decided to challenge myself a bit more by documenting the books I have read and loved as well as have a running list of books that I would love to read.
