I love peplum. I think it's because it gives ordinary garments a more interesting look. it adds something extra to something that would be commonplace.

Some people say that if you are curvy, you shouldn't wear peplum because the detail over-emphasises the hips making them appear larger. What I think is that you can be curvaceous and still rock peplum. If you are uncomfortable flaunting those curves, why not go for a darker colour or choose a coat that is not so detailed.
To style peplum, I would keep the rest of the outfit simple and pair a peplum coat with slim fit pants or a knee-length or mid-calf skirt or a pencil skirt.
