Afternoon everyone! I hope you had a good, restful weekend. This is my second post on My Week in Skirts challenge. This challenge came about when my mum commented that I should wear more skirts. So I challenged myself and this is my attempt to document it.You can find the first outfit in the series is here.
I wore this outfit last Monday when I took my sister to buy rain shoes. We roamed about in quite a number of Bata shops in town and eventually found some. This black maxi skirt was a gift from her and I'd previously worn it here. I wanted to remove some of the edge off my denim shirt so I paired it with a skirt to add some femininity to it.
For accessories, I chose this wide yellow belt to add some colour to my outfit. I wore blue shoes, last worn here, black and blue bangles, black ring and a black bag. I love these shoes because they are so comfortable and the fit is such that you feel bare foot. Perfect for a day spent running errands.
After reading the outfit details on this post, I've just realized that I wear too much black. This weekend, I also noticed the same. I love black, I can't help it if every time I go shopping I reach for black items. But I think it's making me lazy because I don't have to think too hard when it comes to dressing. I do try to add pops of colour to my outfits. Anyway, that's food for thought. What colours do you tend to gravitate towards when you go shopping?
