DRESSED IN CHOCOLATE BROWN AND PINK

Hi all!!! I hope your week is coming along great. I'm starting to have a back-log of posts and I'm beginning to wonder how to catch up.
I wore this outfit some weeks ago. I found it in my archives and since it's Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought it would be appropriate.

 I'm a huge fan of shirts!!! I could wear them every day but I'm going through a dress and skirts phase at the moment. I got these pants a few years back and I only started wearing them this year. They are my most formal pants and I like to save them for days when I want to dress for the corporate world.

This shirt has such a good fit, I'll be shuttered when it gets too old to wear. I have to get a similar one sewed. This slim pink belt is one of my faves. I'm so sad that it's time is nigh and I'll soon be throwing it away.

A labour of love: Long days, bee stings and a global premiere

“Amkeni” roughly translates to “Rise Up” in Kiswahili. This is the call of Chambuko Amkeni, a community-led conservation group involved in mangrove restoration and protection. In 2025, I had the honour of working with them to document their journey on women’s leadership in coastal and marine conservation, climate change adaptation and the blue economy, for a collaboration between Mission inclusion and the BBC StoryWorks'   for the   Living Legacy Series . This was my first time working on a project of this magnitude not to mention one that would have a global audience. To say this has been one of the highlights of the last two years is an understatement. Just thinking about it, my heart swells with pride. Five Books I Want To Read in 2019

My love for reading books has always been bubbling beneath the surface and it has finally blown over. I've not always been a great reader. To make matters worse, motherhood has given me even less time for leisure activities like reading. However, I started pushing myself a bit and now I make time to read.  I find it a good use of time to read while in the matatu, when I take myself on a lunch date or when my eyes need a rest from constantly staring at a screen.  This year, I have decided to challenge myself a bit more by documenting the books I have read and loved as well as have a running list of books that I would love to read.
