Hi all!!! I hope you've had a fantastic weekend. On Saturday was my brother's birthday and we celebrated from Friday evening to Sunday evening. It was a lot of fun and we had ALOT of roasted meat, drinks cake and ice-cream. He was so happy with the fact that his family and friends celebrated his day.
For today's Monday Stylist, I wanted to showcase some of the outfits I've been putting on in this rainy weather.
Skirts are so nice when it's raining because you don't have a chance of them getting soaked. I've been wearing skirts and dresses a lot lately. I pair them with boots or closed-toe wedges to prevent my feet from getting soaked and to keep me warm.
Happy Monday!!!
The temptation to wear dull colours when the weather is dull is so high but I'm really struggling to ensure that I add some colour to my outfits. I found that the more colour I wear the better my mood is during the day.
Including trends in my outfits also serves as a mood uplifter (is that even a word???). Here I chose peplum, the timeless animal print, a DIY pencil skirt and wedges.
i2s Extra:
- Patent leather is the best option to go for when it's raining. Rain water doesn't penetrate through it and this will ensure that you keep the contents of your bag dry,
- Patent leather shoes are also ideal for this kind of weather. I'm not a huge fan of these as I prefer leather shoes, but I've come to realize that I destroy my leather shoes every time I wade through mud and rain water pools.
- Since it gets a little chilly when it rains, layering is important if you want to prevent yourself from getting sick. Wearing a few more layers than you usually do will keep you warm and in case it warms up, you can always remove them.
