MY WARDROBE CHOICES ON A TYPICAL WORK WEEK

Hi all! I hope you're having a good week. 
As the week progresses I find it harder to dress up. On Monday you'll always find me in a dress and heels. 
Come Wednesday I'll have started dressing down either in maxi dresses or maxi skirts. 
By Thursday I'm already set for the weekend and that's when I pull out pants and more often than not you'll catch me in flat shoes. By Friday all I see is denim. 

Monday
Coat dress, blazer, wedges

Tuesday
Colour-blocked skirt, lace top, embellished sweater, heels

Wednesday
Maxi skirt, cropped jacket, sandals
Thursday
Linen trousers, bolero top, wedge sandals
Friday
Pale pink pants, graphic t-shirt, assymetrical top, ballet flats

A labour of love: Long days, bee stings and a global premiere

“Amkeni” roughly translates to “Rise Up” in Kiswahili. This is the call of Chambuko Amkeni, a community-led conservation group involved in mangrove restoration and protection. In 2025, I had the honour of working with them to document their journey on women’s leadership in coastal and marine conservation, climate change adaptation and the blue economy, for a collaboration between Mission inclusion and the BBC StoryWorks'   for the   Living Legacy Series . This was my first time working on a project of this magnitude not to mention one that would have a global audience. To say this has been one of the highlights of the last two years is an understatement. Just thinking about it, my heart swells with pride. I feel like a mother watching her baby grow and come of age (please don't tell my daughter this!). Five Books I Want To Read in 2019

My love for reading books has always been bubbling beneath the surface and it has finally blown over. I've not always been a great reader. To make matters worse, motherhood has given me even less time for leisure activities like reading. However, I started pushing myself a bit and now I make time to read.  I find it a good use of time to read while in the matatu, when I take myself on a lunch date or when my eyes need a rest from constantly staring at a screen.  This year, I have decided to challenge myself a bit more by documenting the books I have read and loved as well as have a running list of books that I would love to read.
