I have become a HUGE fan of Do It Yourself (DIY) projects. I have found
them to be an inexpensive, innovative way to follow trends without
over-spending. Now that I have a baby to look after and a business to
run, I am becoming more and more aware of my spending habits. Thrift
shopping and DIY are my go-to at the moment.
Enter this cape. I made it from a blazer that was mum's. It was part of a suit which she gifted me and I didn't know what to do with it. When the cold weather came rolling by and capes became an IT item, I Googled 'How to make a cape from a blazer' and voila, my DIY cape.
I paired it with these cobalt trousers and a chiffon vintage-style blouse. Stiletto sling-backs and simple stud earrings.
How do you manage being a fashionista on a budget?
